Yandere Princesses Ch19 - An elven spy

Hundreds of miles away from the capital was a valley where Lin’s caravan stopped and set up.

This place was remote and sparsely populated, populated only by overgrown shrubs and savage beasts, with a mist that lingered all year round.

Three large mountains surrounded the valley, leaving a 100 square meter basin with a rugged, narrow road running through it.

Bella was in favor of Lin's decision, and she suppressed all the objections anyone else in the caravan might have had.

Some people thought that Lin's move was a waste of time, and they doubted whether it was necessary to go to this extent.

Lin didn't pay too much attention to these skeptical voices. He was moving the alchemy props he had brought and set them up around the valley, with Shire helping him and Bella directing the magicians on what to do.

"Is this poison?" Keenly sensing the contents, Shire guessed.

Lin buried a glass tube filled with red liquid into the small hole that Hiel had just dug, "Yes, this is quite a simple device. After being subjected to sudden pressure the glass tube will rupture and the poison inside will vaporize and escape. Under normal circumstances this poison has a limited effect on powerful knights, but not if they are injured."

Seeing Lin's smile, Shire shuddered. She knew that her savior was about to prepare a nasty surprise.

......

Ten miles away from the valley, on the main road, a small carriage was blazing forward, its speed already reaching the limit the frame could bear.

Three people sat in this vehicle, two limp bodies of heavily armed knights as well as a slightly older caretaker.

Being the king's wild card, the abilities of these soldiers were too strong resulting in their brains not working too well. Every time they went out on a mission, they needed someone to command them.

The steward called Anjamin looked at the mountains that kept closing in with a vague sense of uneasiness, feeling that there was something bad waiting for him.

However, reminding himself that he had two powerful sixth-column dead soldiers by his side, calmed him down.

What was the sixth column, exactly?

The Sixth Column was one of the elite forces this small kingdom had. There were less than  twenty people ranking above the Sixth Column, and many of these strong people were still tied up in the frontlines, unable to withdraw.

"With this we can slaughter both the little princess and her guards. Not even his highness Lin can stop us. What would it even take to beat us?"

Muttering reassurances, Anjamin slowly regained his confidence.

He slowed down as they entered the valley, causing the two to jerk alert.

In her place, he would have ambushed them right here, so they would not have been able to keep tailing them.

He really didn't think that a cute little princess would come to the same kind of conclusion, The advantage belonged to him, surely.

As the vehicle closed in, it didn't take him long to see the caravan parked in the center of the valley, with a number of people cooking next to it, having only just started a fire.

Seemingly noticing the arrival of the uninvited guests, the knights drew their longswords and looked to meet them.

"Quickly, charge and kill them!"

Taking advantage of the opening, Anjamin did not think much aiming to exploit the enemy’s lowered guard to kill them all

Following his order, the two knights in the car instantly rushed out, exposing their superhuman strength and speed.

"Rumble!"

A single moment later, countless magic circles lit up underneath their feet, and they were submerged in the pillars of light before they could flee.

"Rumble!"

The rumbling sound kept going on and on as the red mist replaced the white fog of the valley.

Anjamin sat frozen in the carriage with his mouth agape, unable to say anything. He knew that his life was nearing the end as the magic did its job.

......

[Destination: Miles Kingdom]

[Main Task: Explore the secrets of the third prince of Miles, Lin Kleist, and if possible, capture him alive and bring him to the empire].

[Mission Duration: One month]

[Secondary objective: Accelerate the downfall of the Miles Kingdom and create a casus belli.]

[Time: Unlimited]

[Recon: The target and his accolades have escaped the capital and are currently traveling to the northern territory of Miles.]

"Her Majesty the Empress is really deadset on this man. Why would this deadbeat of a prince be so important? Might as well give me a vacation at this point."

The young girl put away the mission briefing on the communications panel after reading it. This was the latest invention of the empire that made ultra-long-distance communications possible. It was currently in the process of being spread abroad.

She stretched, showing off her bombshell figure, her long white hair pouring down her shoulders as two pointy ears parted it.

She was an elven spy.

She worked exclusively for the Empress, and was responsible for missions that include but are not limited to; assassinations, brutal murders, and assaults in broad daylight.

Her body was delicate, but at the same time emanated violence, not letting any "reason" be ascertained by observing her actions. The perfect kind of aesthetic to conceal secrets.

According to her plan, it would be best to knock out Lin the moment she sees him and then take him in.

As for the secondary objective, it was even simpler. Just a simple act of subterfuge could be used as an excuse to get Artus to send troops to the Miles Kingdom and open up the road south.

The peaceful times were over - she could clearly feel the tide of chaos rising.

The empress had aspirations of ruling the world, while she just wanted to have fun in the meantime.

After departing the elven village she realized that the outside world was more interesting than expected - every day there was something different going on.

"Let me think about what I should do, how about pretending to be a slave and letting that deadbeat buy me back? I’ve heard that humans like elven slaves. Gehehe."

As the elf giggled happily at the thought of mischief, her chest shook in a rhythm.

She decided that the name of the plan would be "Operation: Slave Elf"

First, she would disguise herself as a slave to lure this so-called prince, and then when he least expected it, attack him, knock him unconscious, and by the time he woke up, he would already be at the Imperial Prison.

This kind of feeling of being one step closer to both heaven and hell was ecstatic indeed.

"Hee hee ......"

The young girl laughed cheekily as she crossed the border of Miles.

She had to go and make some preparations first so that the originally boring quest could be made fun.

......

"Gasp, has it suddenly cooled down?"

Lin shivered as he gazed at the explosions in the valley below, a faint uneasiness welling up in his heart - he felt as if he was being targeted by something dangerous.

The explosions below gradually subsided, and according to Lin's estimation, the intruders below would have to be crippled if not dead and should lack the strength to resist.

Just to be on the safe side, he had the knights ready to charge the moment the magic stopped.

Yandere Princesses Ch18 - Finding a good day to (eat) him

[My name is Lin Kleist, by the time you’re reading this, I’m dead.]

[In order to get away from the mess in the royal palace, Bella and I chose to run away, which went smoothly, up until we encountered bandits on the way.]

[We had a suspicion that we would be pursued by the king's henchmen, but didn't worry too much because we’ve had knights escorting us.]

[It was because of this carelessness that we paid a huge price. The entire caravan was lost in the encounter on the second day.]

[I forgot that the King has been gathering power over the years. His soldiers are far more powerful than I thought.]

[Rather than running away, an ambush sounds like the best option.]

......

The following day, sunlight poured into the carriage through the windows.

Bella opened her hazy sleeping eyes and realised that Lin had left her side at some point.

She sat up from the bed in a daze, the silky pajama straps slipping off her shoulders to reveal a lot of white skin.

The sunlight shone on her body, reflecting pure white.

Leaning her head, she saw that Lin was sitting by the window, frowning in contemplation, and with a snap of his fingers, something in his hand seemed to dissipate into smoke.

She rubbed her eyes again and realised that there was nothing in his hand.

"Isn't Lin going to sleep a little longer?" Bella glanced at the clock on the wall, it was only eight in the morning.

Lin breathed in deeply, looked over and shook his head, "I've already had enough sleep, I can't sleep any longer."

In fact he woke up at five in the morning, the reason being that he heard a scuffle.

But the sound came and went quickly, and soon disappeared without a trace as if it had never been there.

Lin reckoned that this was the vanguard of the king’s assasins, mainly acting as scouts - the real main force would come a little later.

After being woken up he tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't calm himself no matter what, so he came to sit by the window, still drowsy.

Being so bored, he even created five more vials of his special magic power potion and placed them on the table in front of him.

Near eight o'clock, a black letter appeared with a message within that told him about the day's events.

The king had collected a lot of his blood over the years, and knowing what it could do, the king couldn't possibly just been tossing it away.

More importantly, he noticed something interesting, it seemed that letters of each colour only appeared once a day, and there was a distinct difference in their tone and wording.

The first thing that was certain was that none of these letters were written by his hand, there was nothing even resembling his writing.

Although he didn't feel any malice from the author, he couldn't let his guard down.

"What's Lin thinking about, it's only been a moment and your expression changed three times." Bella put on her shoes and walked over to touch Lin on his forehead.

It was slightly cold, probably from too much cool air by the window.

"It's nothing," Lin sidestepped as he picked a magic power potion from the table and handed it to Bella, "Try it and see how effective it is."

Receiving the spiritual power potion, Bella revealed a slightly hesitant look, "Although I also want to boost my strength, I don't want Lin to suffer for it."

Lin held Bella on his lap and patter her head, "This isn't self-harm, merely a price to pay for a shortcut to power, and that is what we should be thinking about at the moment."

Bella lowered her small head and thought for a while, then exclaimed, "Big bro Lin, I've decided!"

Lin: "What have you decided?"

Bella: "After we arrive, I'll have grandpa organise a recruitment meeting, I want to find people with talent and potential to form a private guard."

Lin didn't care too much for it; "As you wish."

He didn't place any of his hopes in them, it wasn't that easy to find people with talent, meeting Shire was already a stroke of luck.

"Hmhmm~" just as she thought of Shire, she let out a kitten-like sleepy sound.

Slightly yawning, she slowly climbed out of bed. Seeing both Lin and Bella staring at her, she hastily shrank back under the covers.

Seeing this Lin shook her head and smiled, "Shire, come out."

She took a deep breath and revealed her head from the quilt, hesitating for a moment, she slowly approached Lin with her pale fingers on the floor.

Her shoes were so dirty that she didn't dare to wear them in fear of spreading it to the floor, but fortunately, the floor of the carriage was soft and clean enough, so she didn't have to worry about putting them on.

She lowered her head and carefully leaned over, whispering, "Good morning... Good morning..."

"Good morning Shire, here's your share." Lin took a magic power potion and handed it to her.

But Shire hastily pushed it away, "It's too expensive, I, I can't take it…"

In Shire’s perception, the worth of her body alone would not be enough to pay for a single flask of said potion.

She had already made her mind to repay him, if she accepted something so expensive, her debt would grow larger and larger, and she would never be able to pay it back.

What did she have left besides a fairly decent affinity toward combat?

Her body?

Just kidding, who would look at this weak body, lacking any charm, in that way.

Lin: "You have a talent, don't let it go to waste. Besides, I'd like you to help me if you can."

Hearing Lin say she needed her. Shire couldn’t refute what he said.

Would she be able to repay even a fraction of what she owes to him?

Shire couldn’t tell. As she took the magic power potion and drank it in one go, she stuck out her small rosy tongue to lick everything so as not to waste a single drop.

Feeling Lin's gaze, she blushed again and pulled her tongue back.

The familiar sensation reached her mind, she felt her blood boiling, and the bottleneck to her growth that had been holding her back for so long was breaking apart.

Shire closed her eyes and felt it crack, just a little bit more, just a little bit more...

"Phh~"

A wave of qi erupted from Shire, forming a small cyclone in the room.

Lin and Bella's eyes lit up at the same time, "Fourth rank!"

Bella said to Lin with a wink, "We've really picked up a treasure, huh?"

Lin blinked, "It seems so."

Shire’s talent was once again beyond their expectations, if they were talking only about talent, she would probably be ranked in the top few in the kingdom, not to mention being in the same dimension as Ariel Louise.

What she lacked was nothing more than resources and practice.

Lin was in a good mood as he slapped Bella's back and said, "Bella, go get the map, let's play a fun game."

Bella bashfully jumped off Lin's lap, and glared at Lin with shame and joy.

If it wasn't for the presence of outsiders, she would givem Lin a taste of her power.

Lin, weak as he was wouldn't be able to resist at all, as long as she used her strength.

Bella's eyes wandered as she wondered if she should find a good day to eat Lin.

Bella: "Heh heh heh heh ......"

Yandere Princesses Ch17 - Wanting to return to his side

Her eyes were a beautiful crimson, like a sunset. or a cup of matured wine.

Her voice was nice and soft, contrary to the way she had wielded the knife before.

She clutched the covers tightly, as if about to slide back if Lin spoke just a little louder.

This time Lin heard her name.

"My name is Lin." he said, as he subconsciously extended his hand.

After realizing that Shire was too far away from him, he was going to withdraw his hand…

…but what he didn't expect was that she’d leave the covers and reach to his hand.

Shire was a little afraid to look Lin in the eye, and so she lowered her head a little more.

Her feelings towards Lin went even beyond the gratitude of saving her life, not only did he save her, but he also showered her with gifts and respect.

Over the past ten years, she had been met with mostly cold stares, on one hand people detested her physical condition, and on the other, feared her strength.

As a child, she was raised by an old crippled woman, but when she was ten years old, she fell ill and passed away.

From that day on, the villagers said that her red hair and eyes were a curse, and she suffered even more ostracism, which she couldn’t do anything against, even while knowing it was a lie.

Her personality was that of polar opposites, she had both the bravado to drive her to struggle and the will to find a place and people she’d belong with.

After a brief handshake, she retracted her hand back under the covers, as if afraid that touching her would disgust Lin..

"Stay here if you don't mind, I think I can help you out.." Rin smiled and reached out to pat her head.

He had a special fondness for Shire, if what the letter said was true, the girl in front of him would die alone sometime in the future.

Of course, that was her fate before Rin had intervened, and now that he had kept her with him, the future would surely change.

Both emotionally and rationally, Lin couldn't abandon Shire, and he would do his best to make her stronger going forward..

"Can I really?"

As Shire looked at the luxurious decorations of the caravan and the carvings on the bed, she felt like she was dreaming.

She was born an insurmountable distance away from living in such wealth, from her point of view, she was destined to live in the corner of a slum and one day succumb to a natural disaster of some sort.

But before she died, she would repay Lin's kindness, to the best of her ability.

"Yes, really. Don't hesitate."

Bella, who had been watching from the side for a long time, took off her shoes and climbed onto the bed, then sat on her knees next to Shiel and cupped her small face with her hands and said:

"If you’re serious about this, become stronger to protect him, He’s a weakling, so take this advice to heart."

After just a moment, Bella lost interest, and said, "Your cheeks are barely there, you have to eat more and recover."

Lin sighed as he sat on the edge of the bed and pinched Bella's face back, "Okay, don't bully her, her face is fine. Besides, we’re not human traffickers so why does it matter? Also, who are you calling a weakling? Wasn't the way I hit that guy with a throwing dagger hella cool?"

"If it was just a regular dagger, Lin wouldn't have been able to break his defence." Bella remarked.

Lin: "......."

"You're the one who talks too much" In order to shut Bella up, Lin kneaded her face into all sorts of weird shapes.

His current strength wasn't even comparable to Bella's, and if he didn't use tools, he wouldn't even be part of the equation.

"Mfemw womof me! (let go of me!)"  Bella made a strange sound while kicking Lin.

Shier opened her eyes widely, feeling guilt at causing this fight. And as strange emotion welled up in her heart. this atmosphere was something she had never experienced before.

The wariness in her heart continued to melt away, Shire gradually got a little sleepy, leaned back on the pillow, and fell asleep just as she touched the pillow.

Bella and Lin turned their heads at the same time to look at Shire, and found that her face had a relaxed expression, and her tightly furrowed brows had also relaxed.

Lin put down Bella and walked over to cover Shire back up with the blanket, suddenly remembering something, he asked, "Will there really be people after us?"

"There's more than a seventy percent chance. After all, there are quite a few people who know that I left the King's City. Anyone who’s not a complete idiot will guess that I took you with me."

Bella said crawling to the other side as she found an empty spot, "According to the original plan we could have escaped further, but because we went back, we wasted a lot of time."

She took off the clothes, revealing a light nightgown made of silk, Bella patted the spot beside her fearfully and said to Lin, "Go to bed early, the guard will take care of the pursuers and whatnot, we just need to get a good night's sleep."

Lin glanced at Bella's wide bed; there was still quite a bit of room left on for a second person. There were also two sets of covers, one for Shire and one he could share with Bella.

It was late at night by now, and after the day's troubles Lin was exhausted, after a little hesitation he resigned and got in without a fuss.

As soon as he lay down, Bella rolled over and sat on his waist, smiling right over his face, as if waiting for a kiss.

"Get off."

"No!"

......

The royal palace in the distance was still burning. The reddish flames raged, enveloping the entire royal city.

The beautiful main hall had already been reduced to ashes, and all that was left was black smoke and the stench of burnt flesh.

Not far from it lay a number of armour-clad soldiers and knights, who had fallen in a pool of blood, the victims of a clash.

Further out in the back, the palace magician corps and the finest soldiers surrounded the area near the main hall, their faces clearly fatigued, obviously having gone through a great battle.

The good news was that they had won, the bad news was that the king and some of the nobles had run away.

"Father ran away. He also took some high-ranking nobles with him, and is currently running towards the northern-east of the royal city." The one to speak was Elena, who was flipping through the magic book in her hand while interpreting the information she had just received.

Louise, who was sitting opposite her, nodded in silence as her eyes kept looking at the north of the royal palace.

Elena: "I have already announced the news according to our original plan: the king was manipulated by traitors and suffers from insanity. The nobles have raised their flags in rebellion and need to be brought to justice, We are the de-facto, the interim government in control of the military and institutions."

"Hm," Louise nodded, her eyes still looking at the sky in the north.

Elena sighed helplessly, as she continued to turn over the magic book in her hand. At least for now, she and Louise were still in a co-operative relationship.

"Hey, Elena…

how about you have the kingdom?" Louise suddenly spoke.

"Louise, it's only the first day, so please don't say such things." There was much less tenderness in Elena's words, she kept that for only Lin.

Louise missed Lin - and how could she not - wanting to leave everything behind and return to Lin's side.

"I know. Let’s settle business with that rat once and for all as soon as possible." Louise spoke in a cold tone.
